This product, to me, has no negatives. It is a all in one product (display, dvr, cameras, wiring etc) that really needs no extras. The instructions are easy to follow and all you have to do is place your cameras, run the wiring and turn it on. I would recommend doing a dry run on hooking up the cameras to the display-dvr to check that everything is working. Several nice features: you can hook up different swann cameras to the unit ie mix and match. For example on one of the "slots" I hooked up a swann Pro-650 which is a doom type with tilt, pan and zoom and 360 coverage---all by remote. So you have lots of choices. Also ...
