In my 50+ years of taking pictures, I've never been without a tripod. This one is the most expensive I've ever bought, but by no means top of the heap. But for the price, it's tops with me. I topped it with a ball mount, and for versatility, it gets two thumbs up from me. The carbon material takes a bit getting used to after using aluminum pods. The carbon seems a bit "sticky," but I think with use, it will smooth out. The bubble level is a nice touch, haven't seen the need for the built in compass, but with the prospect of tramping though the woods, it should come in handy. I like the leg action; the ability ...
