BENRO MC-98M8 Carbon Monopod On the Benro MC-98-M8 Monopod - after I received it, I almost sent it back without unpacking. The unit, I felt, was just too light. With Pandora calling, I took the unit out of the plastic casing. All Benro's come with tools, so I checked them out. There is really nothing to assemble, except the foot tripod support that is neatly concealed in the base of the unit.Three sturdy aluminum rods fit nicely into the base of the tripod. Extended and fitted into their support base, I felt anything over three pounds would surly come crashing to the ground.Not so fast. I had two cameras with lenses attached that I could try.
